Have a question but don’t know who to ask? VLACS’s new knowledge base is the place to start!
What’s a knowledge base? It’s a place you can go to get answers to your questions quickly and easily. A knowledge base is a searchable, self-serve online library of information, related to a specific topic, company, or organization.
The content ranges from the explanation of processes to how things work, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and any other information a user may want to know.
How can you access it?
For starters, you can click this link and bookmark it in your browser so you’ll never have to look for it again!
To access it from the VLACS homepage, click on the Get Help & Support button in the upper right corner.
Then click on the orange button that says Visit the Knowledge Base.
Either way, you’ll end up here, where you can search by keyword, scan our top articles, or chat with our helpdesk:
Here’s an example:
Let’s say you want some help figuring out which courses to take. You could type help with courses in the search box. Before you even hit return, a variety of options show up and you could click the one that makes the most sense for you.
Or, you could hit return and see a more detailed list with descriptions of each article and the keywords associated with them:
Click on the article you think will help best. From this screen, you can read, print, share, and look for any other related articles that might help.
If you still don’t have what you need, use the search bar in the upper left corner of the screen to search by a different keyword.
Give it a try and visit our Knowledge Base here.
